Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of Pantone Colour Institute, has announced the colour for 2026. It’s Cloud Dancer (Pantone 11-4201), a soft, lofty white shade, like the one of clouds, with a very natural, almost vanilla effect.

5 ideas given by Cloud Dancer
1. Calm
In a natural white, vanilla-toned and warm space – really different from a pure and optical white - a widespread sense of calm immediately arises, which is greatly needed during this period. It’s a pleasant moment of rest, of calm, of relaxation, which finds an excellent expression in the kitchen, especially if classic, like our Asolo, but in modern kitchens too.
2. Clearness
Cloud Dancer explain a social situation existing both internationally and locally, even personally: the search for a new path. For this reason, during Leatrice Eiseman presentation, executive director of Pantone Colour Institute, she has declared “We are rethinking our future and our place in the world. At this stage of transformation, Cloud Dancer offers a promise of clearness”.
3. Sweetness
The Pantone colour of 2026 was immediately compared to soft clouds – which, after all, its very name references– expressing a tendency to favor a certain sweetness and softness, which leads to the search for a delicate pleasure, easy to receive because it is not overly stimulating. The ultimate goal is a shared balance, capable of of expanding even beyond the individual.
“Similar to a white canvas, Cloud Dancer expresses our wish of a new beginning. By removing the layers of an outdated thinking, we open the door to new approaches.”
Laurie Pressman, Vice President, Pantone Colour Institute
4. Concentration
The already mentioned Leatrice Eiseman also spoke about “the cacophony that surrounds us” and that “it has become overwhelming and makes it harder to listen to our inner voice”. In this sense, the Pantone colour 2026 helps us simplify, shed the superfluous and focus in order to leave the mind the space to breathe and embrace creativity. And life itself.
5. New beginnings
Cloud Dancer open to creativity because in its white it allows the imagination to range to new insights and ideas until they can arise and take shape. For this reason, it has been compared to a white canvas to be filled with new beginnings, personal and, more generally, social. On this matter, we hope it brings a balance between the digital present/future and the traditional human connection, which genuinely remains a primary need for everyone.

The Pantone 2026 colour was already right up our alley; in fact, it aligns perfectly with the choices we are finalizing for the coming year. We can't reveal them yet, but we share the moodboards used to inspire us. We anticipate that we will propose warm and soft materials and finishings, set against a neutral, luminous backdrop that only natural white can achieve. Our focus is on the tactile texture of stone matched with visible-grain wood—pure stimulation for the senses. A touch of colour? For those who want it there will be, in neutral and dusty nuance. For the shapes, we will move to rounded shapes, proposing new elements compared to the Arco and Tuttotondo collections.
The Pantone Colour of 2026 can animate by himself a quiet and relaxing scene, or become a versatile base to highlight other colours and finishes.
