The vintage style has become extremely sought-after, even in the kitchen. We don’t refer to pretentious environments laden with mouldings and decorations, but pared-down and refined solutions such as Arredo3’s classical kitchens, or even more up-to-date kitchens that nonetheless retain some traditional aspects. When the modern style revisits the past, the end result is a contemporary-style kitchen.  

The first element with an instant vintage appeal is the framed door, which can be extremely simple and linear with a well-defined frame and integrated grip, as featured in the Alma collection, or with a slightly more elaborate frame as in the Frida and Meg models. The latter is characterised by a frame with a double relief in succession, which was highly appreciated also by Belén Rodríguez, who chose it for her Arredo3 Meg kitchen. 

Other distinctive aspects include the materials and finishes. The vintage-style kitchen privileges traditional materials such as wood, marble or stone, often revisited with versions that simulate these effects but are decidedly more modern, functional and resistant, such as – for the worktops – stoneware, Cosmolite® or Abitum, to name a few. Vintage-style colours tend to include neutral shades – ivory, white, and shades of grey – often accompanied by machined details rather than smooth surfaces. They are perfect for Arredo3's ribbed and micro-ribbed finishes, where the striped effect is obtained through more or less tightly packed ribs. 

The glass wall units or tall units also convey an instant vintage-style atmosphere. The numerous Arredo3 glass cabinets with their refined fumé finish are complemented by the Déco special unit. It mounts sliding glass doors with fumé grigio finish and a nero-coated aluminium frame, and fits in conveniently in a bookcase or among the base units of an island.
