Once in a while, we like to recall a few characteristics of our company, such as the fact that Arredo3 belongs to the Ecological Panel® consortium; this accomplishment stems from our strategy aimed at incorporating environmental criteria when it comes to defining what materials and production processes to use.
The consortium is promoted by the Saviola Group, which, as early as the 1990s, took the pioneering decision to start investing in a shared vision of circular economy, environmental responsibility and industrial innovation. The end result of this strategy was the Ecological Panel®, one of the materials currently used to produce numerous Arredo3 kitchen models, made from 100% post-consumer wood. In this way, end-of-life material is transformed into a valuable resource using innovative methods, powered largely by renewable and clean energy.
This is an important aspect for those who view sustainability as one of the key values when making purchases, but is equally important for those who choose us because of the overall value they attribute to our brand. In both cases, the use of the Ecological Panel® in numerous Arredo3 kitchen models – based on data provided by the Saviola Group – contributes to the recovery of post-consumer wood and a reduction in the use of virgin raw materials.
To grasp the extent of this choice, we highlight below some of the outstanding results we have achieved in the five-year collaboration between Arredo3 and the Saviola Group:
- 11,835 trees saved, equivalent to a forest larger that Central Park
- 5,917 tonnes of CO2 avoided, equal to the annual emissions of 3,842 motor vehicles
- 4,651 tonnes of post-consumer wood recycled, a volume that could fill more than 7 Olympic-size swimming pools
- 9,819 GJ of renewable energy used, equal to the average annual energy needs of 2,079 families
- an amount of Ecological Panel® used to produce Arredo3 furniture elements equivalent to 39 football f
