With Design Shanghai, Arredo3 expands its presence in China
30 JUNE 2023
As we had expected, the tenth edition of the Design Shanghai trade fair, held from 8 to 11 June this year, marked the resumption of trade relations between East and West in our sector. Devised for operators in the home furniture and design sectors but open to private operators as well, the fair afforded an excellent and prestigious opportunity for international brands to meet retailers that do business with a refined and sophisticated clientele, who make up an exclusive market niche. The same trade fair is replicated also in other cities, for example Beijing and Shenzhen, owing to its highly successful format, but it is the original fair in Shanghai that is the most accredited and significant event.
For Arredo3 it was an excellent opportunity to meet new contacts with the aim of opening further points of sale in China and building up a strong brand awareness also in that market, based on modern and traditional design kitchens featuring technological and sustainable solutions. The specialised public, made up of Chinese and Asian sector operators, attended in large numbers and greeted the Arredo3 kitchens favourably.
Two proposals were on show at the stand. The first, a peninsula model, was made with base units of the Kalì model in fango maxximatt PET, a highly matt finish with a silky feel, for both the straight section and the broad peninsula. The latter had a double row of base units, with space for storing items on both sides. The base units fitted against the wall were surmounted by boiserie in the dark rovere caffè finish with titanio recyclable aluminium shelves, with four glass wall units in the centre featuring an elegant fumé grigio finish. Separately, there was a block of Time model tall units, with Blu Notte glossy lacquered finish, for underlining the versatility of the modules of the various Arredo3 kitchen models, which can be easily combined to create personalised solutions. The composition was variously fitted-out with extraction mechanisms for base units and tall units and Modus equipped trays.
The second proposal was a Kalì island model with silicio finish with profile handles and a block of PET tall units with selenio finish, interspersed with boiserie with a warm noce America finish featuring glass shelves and Rubik aluminium open compartments. It was completed by a broad snack counter top equipped with four stools.
