A corner kitchen that combines design with traditional construction

A young couple who appreciate nature but are also drawn to a modern, refined aesthetic. In fact, they see it as essential. Arredo3 provides the ideal solution with a design kitchen that embraces the warmth, brightness and textural appeal of the greenery outside, near Padua.

A couple in their thirties want to create a welcoming, design-led living area in the spacious section of a traditional house renovated and divided into two homes. Surrounded by greenery, it lets them enjoy nature, yet close enough to the city to enjoy everything it has to offer.

They have an open-plan space that includes the living room. The chosen solution is a traditional corner kitchen with a central table and a window overlooking the garden. At the same time, it blends into the living room with a sense of natural continuity, thanks to the coordinated colour palette and the TV unit created using Glass modules.

What makes a design kitchen?

Modern setting

For Giorgia and Giovanni, a design kitchen is first and foremost a modern setting, just like the open-plan space that also brings in the living room. Next come clean-lined furnishings, enhanced by refined materials and carefully balanced details that add a touch of understated elegance. These include the long handles selected for the tall units and the Asia ribbed-effect noce veneer insert, which breaks up the pure white glass wall units and creates a contrast of colours, materials and finishes.

Refined materials

Thanks to the versatility of Arredo3 modules, the kitchen design combines two different collections. From Asia come the tall units, top units and mini wall unit in a noce finish, beautifully worked with a ribbed effect: a succession of vertical grooves creating a three-dimensional striped look. The base units and wall units, meanwhile, are from Glass and feature a technical door composed of a glass front - a recyclable material obtained by fusing natural substances - and a lightweight aluminium frame, which is resistant and also recyclable. Both belong to our Gaia eco-sustainable set-up, as does the Sapienstone® Calacatta macchia vecchia used for the worktop and back panel, since it is a ceramic slab made from premium clays.

Neutral colours

The space created is refined and relaxing, just like nature, evoked by the veining that characterises the back panel and worktop in the working area, as well as by the textural effect of the noce millerighe finish. Overall, warm, neutral tones predominate - featured among the 2025 kitchen trends - with an almost tonal palette punctuated by white, which adds brightness, and walnut, which brings depth. This effect is enhanced by the millerighe workmanship, on which the light can create interesting reflections.

Ideas from the project moodboard

The unexpected feature: the passage unit

The tall units next to the ovens conceal a secret. One, as you might expect, contains the built-in refrigerator, while the other provides access to a purpose-built laundry and utility room. Giorgia and Giovanni wanted the kitchen to face the living room perfectly, so the row of tall and top units was brought forward, in line with the living area. Behind them, an additional room was created, accessed through a leaf that functions as a door. This is the Arredo3 passage unit: an almost invisible solution, perfectly integrated into the kitchen.
